Gunner Fore and the Interstate are an Americana/Alt Country band from Lubbock, Texas.
 
They are influenced by the sights and sounds of West Texas, and by artists such as Jason Isbell, Wilco, Willie Nelson, Tyler Childers, The Damn Quails and anything with a beat you can move to

the band won the 2021 LHUCA West Texas Battle of the Bands, competing against over 100+ bands from Texas, and was featured Nationally on PBS as part of their "Sound on Tap" series. Their song, "Hope" was included as part of Lubbock Music NOW! 2022, a compilation record produced by the City of Lubbock and the Cactus Theatre.

Gunner Fore and the Interstate recently released "Hope" and "Already Gone to Me" off their EP "Music for the hard times" Both singles appeared for many weeks on the Texas Country Music Chart, with "Hope" peaking at #51 and "Already Gone to Me" peaking at #71
